Ruddered Kayaks

North American style kayaks, influenced by developments in racing, feature low rocker, round bilges and straight tracking keels.  These designs typically include a rudder at the stern to assist in turning.  Many touring boats use rudders to ease the impact of edging the boat for long periods under the pressure of wind or currents.
